Mystery car. Chrysler 200 /Lancia Flavia?

Not sure. This was sent to me by a reader who claims this is the Chrysler 200.

I guess why not. Weird they would be testing it with a Chevrolet Cruze.
Maybe to compare things.

Anything they can do will be an improvement over the current model. And they really need something new in that very important segment.

If this is the new 200, it could end up in Europe as a new mid-sized Lancia as well. Maybe as the new Flavia since this is what they call the current model over there.

Subaru BRZ STI "coming soon"

That's what they say on Subaru's japanese website.
Good news for those who crave something sportier out of the BRZ.

As apparently Toyota is re-thinking a more powerful model of their own version, the Scion FR-S.
As well as the convertible.
Which is too bad.

At least, Subaru seems to have more guts.

If only they could redesign that horrible and cheap interior....

Peugeot 6008

Looks like Peugeot is giving up on the large luxury sedan, trying the luxury SUV market instead.

Which is pretty much what many European car makers are doing.
Citroen is getting a large DS X ready. And Renault's Espace might also be replaced by a luxury Crossover.
Opel and Ford gave up the large sedan market years ago. As did Lancia .

Porsche Macan

Just the interior for now.
Everything is as expected. As this looks like a blend of every other Porsche interiors out there.

Which is fine, I guess. The Cayenne's smaller and cheaper brother is based on the Audi Q5.

So pricing should end up between the $37 000 Q5 and $50 000 Cayenne V6.
Which would make it the cheapest Porsche available.

Something you don't see every day...

 Just saw this this morning.
Looking pretty good.

It has to be at least 30 years old since they stopped selling them in the US in 1983.

Here is one of the original ads from 1977.

2015 VW Jetta SportWagen Alltrack heading for the US

The all new Golf based SportWagen will be coming to the US in late 2014.
And for the 1st time, will be joined by an AWD version called Alltrack.

(There is already an Alltrack version of the Passat wagon on sale in Europe.)

It seems that VW really wants some of that Subaru Outback money.
The new SportWagen will still be a bit smaller than the Outback, but cheaper too. So it could work.
Plus, it will also be offered as a diesel.

The picture  above is still an illustration, based on the new Golf Wagon. So it is probably really close to the real thing.

2014 Hyundai Elantra/Avante

Called the Elantra here, the Avante is getting a refresh for the new year.

Looks like most of the news will be LEDs. Which is usually the case these days...
